How soon is too soon to start shopping for holiday gifts?
I must confess, I’m one of those people who likes to procrastinate. I always end up doing my shopping last-minute. Mostly because I find it really hard to shop for others in general. But also, because when shopping for others, I find it hard not to shop for myself.
But back to my question: Truthfully, there’s no right or wrong time to start holiday shopping. Obviously, the sooner you do it the better off you would be. We’re already at the end of October, so I would say the perfect time is now. Especially because most people are not thinking about holiday shopping until after Thanksgiving. And in 2020, we’re already doing most of our shopping online anyway, so holiday shopping has never been easier or more convenient than now.
Because of this trend, a lot of retailers are also facilitating your shopping experience by offering free shipping, so take advantage of it whenever you can. And if you start early, chances are you’ll get your shopping done before anyone else does, and you won’t have to stress about not getting your gifts on time.
Also to make your online shopping experience even better, pay attention to flash sales, they are happening all the time now as retailers are eager to get rid of inventory. Another good strategy to score even bigger savings when online shopping is to use promo codes. I like to use sites like Retail Me Not, Rakuten, and promocodes.com to scout for the best promo codes available.
